increased by something more than 70% percent we are getting paid
" t- ]; K0 h7 S2 G# x7 G, bexactly for the same amount of money that we were offered in our
/ a) y& s4 [$ T3 V1 s$ A3 i7 N! Dadmission letter (18000 CAD + 1500 CAD for international students 3 H! y O* d6 o1 Q" @: R4 M0 O" ~
=19500CAD. What I get is something around 1000CAD/month!!! after 4 ^1 E a' ]2 f: k8 L% ~& z
tuition fee and taxes). To make the argument easy to understand just 2 X7 \# d8 i4 g5 U5 H& j" ]
imagine that a new student gets the same amount of money that I am ' e2 p% a5 a( u. a
getting now and I was getting 3 years ago but he or she (like all of
" @0 G D* g9 H, D a4 yus) has to pay twice as much as I was paying for housing when I was
$ Y4 L, a. l4 v& i6 Aadmitted and has to incur at least 70% more in average living costs.

Alberta has a remarkable record in absorbing various money and grants

is to question the adequacy of financial aid for graduate and $ ?8 d" M9 f% [+ ]6 ?; @5 \. z1 n
especially international students. Isn抰 it time for the GSA to take$ t+ \/ K. r5 h
( |/ @/ q" v. M
initiative in raising the issue of increasing financial aid for
( I2 Y5 x+ h# D' Mgraduate students so that the can afford this increase in costs?
