The iconic watchmaking brand Hublot has just signed a partnership with Argentine footballer Diego Maradona. Argentina’s current national team coach is also known as the “player of the 20th century” to pay tribute to his remarkable career which has left its mark on the history of world football. As is known to many people, Diego Maradona has a well-known hobby in watches.
In Argentina, even in the world, Diego Maradona is considered as “the greatest player of the twentieth century”. He is our idol. In watchmaking industry, Hublot is one of our idols, too. Recently, Hublot and Maradona, the two idols in their respective fields, will link their careers, both marked by passion, excellence and success. This alliance is demonstrated by a trendy image of Diego Maradona,replica datejust, arms raised in victory, carved on the back of the Big Bang Maradona’s case.
Ticking inside this splendid Hublot watch is a self-winding chronograph movement - HUB1146 calibre. Paved with 55 jewels, the Hublot movement features satin-finished, bevelled and polished bridges, a sandblasted and rhodium-plated main plate, as well as a barrel with a reinforced spring.
The watch demonstrates a black dial, marked with appliques in Argentine blue and luminescent white. The dial includes a 45-minute sub-dial at 9 o'clock. It catches the glance by the lucky number 10 at 3 o'clock and Diego Maradona's signature at 6 o'clock.
The hands are faceted and set with diamond; it has also luminescent white; while the chronograph hand includes H-shaped counterweights and Argentine blue Duco.
The Big Bang Maradona has an oversized case measuring 44.5 mm in diameter in micro blasted textured black ceramic. The HUBLOT Big Bang Maradona Chronograph will be a limited edition of only 250 units made and will be available at selected HUBLOT retailers.
