Duration – 9 months

Essential Responsibilities:

& Y) g* P* d2 n3 dPLC, HMI and SCADA programming of control systems in a variety of platforms for water and wastewater treatment systems.
Configuration and testing of PLC data and IO networks.
. B. M9 [9 Q( dRead and process engineering documents, including P&IDs, process design guidelines, Electrical Schematics, Communications Network Architecture and engineering best practices guides.
Collaborate in cross-functional project team discussions and meetings, and proactively seek relevant details for programming deliverables.
! w, P% t7 R8 }8 o9 ?: H$ ^7 cInterpret and follow contract and customer specifications
Contribute to the design of process controls strategies and documentation with operator and equipment safety in mind.
% R$ }: L/ Z; V  \# y1 Q1 B# [Manage budget, scope and schedule and report risks and opportunities to project managers in timely manner.
Lead/coordinate/guide other automation programming resources for projects as needed
Communicate in a formal, professional, and technical manner to various audiences
* v8 \' D+ Y5 X' q8 bProvide timely support for field service teams during commissioning, trouble-shooting, and issue resolution
8 P' V/ B7 U( g& yWork with 3rd-party system integrators to coordinate plant design and operation as needed
/ e9 t2 O6 o- f# |Establish, maintain, implement and follow standard practices for programming.
. Q/ q$ r8 ?: {$ Q, zExecute projects for a wide variety of Water Treatment Technologies (including Ion Exchange, Immersed and Pressurized Ultra Filtration, Membrane Bioreactors, Reverse Osmosis, Electro Deionization, Electrodialysis Reversal, Thermal, Conventional)
+ J3 G6 a+ ]3 rParticipate in customer witnessed FAT, SAT and other related Control System checkouts as needed
0 g6 x, Y2 a8 Z! t$ ?( s  Y% XWork with internal stakeholders to provide input up front in the project cycle including bids, design reviews and factory testing
. V) w- m- n9 X; k" A2 M8 G3 ZLead internal initiatives aimed at improving the automation team and greater business and independently drive to closure
* ], @, S. f2 W8 EOccasional domestic travel (~15%) for client meetings or customer site visits.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

/ n1 L1 L  Q2 V  f$ f2 CBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent from an accredited University or College
$ J8 ^# M; b4 aTwo to five years' experience developing Rockwell based PLC, HMI and SCADA programs for process control applications.
Automation testing experience (simulation and/or field environment)
: p- V4 o, e; ~Experience interpreting process control documents.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities
8 N6 m9 ^3 L+ _* `Proven ability to follow set of procedures and standards, and extrapolate new concepts from established standards
; X. }/ M" b3 |5 l5 a% QKnowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to SUEZ WTS products and systems including but not limited to RO/ED, UF/MBR, Ion Exchange, Thermal and Conventional technologies

Strong focus on customer relationships (external/internal). Understands balance between customer and  teams
! ]- Z3 t& j: ?" ]/ a2 n5 N$ tUnderstanding of hydraulics and fundamentals of fluid mechanics and previous experience with water treatment systems
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater process: Understand biological processes, disinfection, BOD, coagulation, etc.
Mechanical experience particularly with water treatment equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems, etc.)
* X# y& ~+ Q+ K& U4 N* N4 _Electrical experience particularly with electrical panels and water treatment equipment
) e8 a3 \# m6 S  p3 B  \& c  CAbility to operate under pressure on tight timelines while producing detailed and accurate documents
8 Q# t( |  z. LAbility to quickly shift focus from one technical issue to another while maintaining commitment to accuracy and precision
$ B8 v6 U' p- \' X  W/ C/ C6 sAbility to schedule, prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously
