Will you give some advice about travelling route and fare if I order ticket from you?

I am a Mauritian (original from China )will go to Edmonton under student visa accompany with my husband and son(5yrs).
We plan to travel in Dec 2009 or Arpil 2010. Since there is no direct flight from Mru to Edmonton, will you pls advise which air line nd via which city shall we have a cheaper fair for whole family? of cause ,we have to book round tip.the max length is one year ,is it ? Shall we cancel the return ticket once we land in Edmonton ?
