A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed

shaved perfectly applied, even though he is legally blind, moved to a . p* i& L, h3 d$ K6 C* T
nursing home today.

[4 R( c' ]; _' O$ ?% ]! j2 {His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. 3 b, A; X! I5 d- U/ J$ V2 z* T
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,
# f1 Z( y7 }5 X! O& g, M2 d7 phe smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. $ f; k4 p d6 B/ w8 k
* ^% \6 d. E9 n6 ]( l- g TAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual + } s6 [. ?' j. t$ }+ a; t
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been 6 @0 t% @9 B8 S* p4 T' C* R# ~

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having

! }' E x0 S! `" w"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.

. b9 F; Z* _# T0 b$ p8 _' T"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my 6 l! Y1 l0 u) d* _
room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how , \) V$ I( g; d9 c7 c: m
I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it."

It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up.

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I

and be thankful for the ones that do. ( h& E7 s0 m& s

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new
: P' M6 [. T7 z/ R4 t. rday and all the happy memories I've stored away. $ t/ C1 h# T a, d2 w

Just for this time in my life.

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank
