each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and

nursing home today.

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. 5 a2 |5 r' L. I8 E8 A0 r
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, $ t/ E8 Z5 k# D9 }: Z6 V
he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. + H8 U8 j2 l/ R4 U; s" V

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual

: S# B4 @# }' T" ^9 l5 [I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I
" R) m+ C4 {% Y- r3 [have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed

, s H! a" R) W f6 u6 S' P, bEach day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new ; R: P" @ g. y
day and all the happy memories I've stored away.
