INGREDIENTS:

• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)

PREPARATION:
6 J7 {' R& e: m3 CBeat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. ! X: z) Q4 K; F1 ?9 S
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 7 u- s% D$ ^6 X6 {4 R
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

9 X8 ~0 Q1 J5 u5 \I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
