The Northeastern United States has been hit hard by the virus, also know as swine flu, with 16 deaths reported in New York City alone last week.

In Minnesota, a 5-year-old Minneapolis girl with an impaired immune system died June 11 in that state's first confirmed H1N1 flu death, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Tuesday. The girl had been admitted to Children's Hospital of Minneapolis on June 10.3 x5 K) f' O6 C* S7 H+ O
