加拿大政府支持微系统研究

2005年10月，加拿大众议员David McGuinty宣布，加拿大自然科学与工程研究理事会将在5年内为加拿大微系统研究中心（CMC）提供4850万加元的资助，以加快加拿大微系统技术的研发。加上企业的投资，该项目的总投资将超过1亿加元。CMC是由加拿大40多所大学、2400多名科学家组成的研究网络，主要从事微系统的设计、制造和测试工作，其年度预算为8.6亿加元。



微系统技术对卫生保健、国家安全、环境、航空航天、汽车和自然资源等领域的发展至关重要。
